The TUFFSTRAPS® Guarantee
TUFFSTRAPS® are built tough to handle demanding conditions and are designed for use in harsh outdoor environments. However, due to the nature of their use, regular wear and tear will occur over time. For this reason, TUFFSTRAPS® are classified as a consumable product and are not covered by a standard warranty.
We do offer a manufacturer’s guarantee for issues relating to defects in materials or workmanship. Each claim is assessed on a case-by-case basis and at the sole discretion of the TUFFSTRAPS® team.
We take pride in producing a high-quality, reliable product. If you receive a strap that is defective or damaged on arrival, we’ll gladly provide a replacement or full refund.
To Submit a Claim
If you believe your TUFFSTRAPS® are faulty, please email us at info@tuffstraps.co.nz with the following details:
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photos showing the fault
- Proof of purchase (including purchase date and retailer, if applicable)
Our team will review your claim and get back to you as soon as possible.
Important Notes
- Normal wear and tear, including degradation from sunlight, weather exposure, and general use, is not considered a defect and is not covered under this guarantee.
- Damage caused by misuse, overloading, or improper installation is not covered.
- TUFFSTRAPS® are priced with their consumable nature in mind.
- Returns for change of mind are not accepted.

Important Safety Notice
Please read these instructions carefully before using TUFFSTRAPS®. Incorrect use may result in damage to property, personal injury, or death. By using this product, you agree to follow all safety recommendations and accept responsibility for its proper use.
Safe Use Guidelines
- Inspect before every use. Do not use the strap if it shows any signs of wear, cuts, cracking, or other damage.
- Check the buckle. Do not use if the buckle or plate is bent, cracked, or damaged in any way.
- Intended use only. TUFFSTRAPS® are designed for securing loads. They must not be used for towing vehicles, lifting, supporting human weight, or as any form of restraint or safety device.
- Avoid hazards. Keep straps away from sharp edges, open flames, high heat, and corrosive substances.
- Use on strong anchor points. Only attach to points capable of supporting the intended load.
- Monitor over time. Straps may degrade with exposure to sunlight and weather. Replace them if there are any signs of deterioration.
- Check during transit. Loads may shift or settle. Retighten straps as needed.
- Storage. Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
Always use good judgement and take appropriate precautions when securing loads.
Warranty and Liability
TUFFSTRAPS® products are covered by a manufacturer’s guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. This guarantee applies in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and the Consumer Guarantees Act (NZ), which cannot be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, TUFFSTRAPS® is not liable for any damage, loss, or injury arising from misuse, incorrect installation, alteration, or use beyond the product’s intended purpose.
Our liability is limited, at our option, to the replacement or refund of the original product purchase price where a manufacturing fault is confirmed. We do not accept responsibility for incidental or consequential losses arising from the use or misuse of this product.
By using TUFFSTRAPS®, you acknowledge that securing loads and working in certain environments carries inherent risks. You agree to use this product responsibly and at your own discretion.
Final Notice
You are ultimately responsible for any load you secure.
Always ensure that loads are fastened safely and in accordance with the guidelines above, as well as any relevant road safety or workplace regulations. TUFFSTRAPS® accepts no responsibility for damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper or unsafe use.
